Cayman’s Protein Carbonyl Fluorometric Assay Kit utilizes the rhodamine B hydrazide (RBH) reaction to measure the protein carbonyl content in plasma, serum, cell lysates, or tissue homogenates in a convenient 96-well format. Formation of the fluorescent protein carbonyl-RBH hydrazone is analyzed using an excitation wavelength of 560 nm and an emission wavelength of 585-595 nm.
Biotium Steady-Luc™ Firefly HTS Assay Kit (Lyophilized), 1000 Assays
Biotium’s Steady-Luc™ HTS assay system is a proprietary mixture of substances that modify the enzymatic reaction to produce a long lasting signal (steady glow) by preventing the formation of adenyl-oxyluciferin at the enzyme surface. It is a single-step, homogeneous, high sensitivity firefly luciferase reporter gene assay kit with a half-life of about 3 hours for the quantification of firefly luciferase expression in mammalian cells, allowing batch processing in microplates. Glow-type luciferase assays like Steady-Luc™ have lower luminescence signal compared to flash-type assays. The sensitivity and limit of detection of the assay will depend on luciferase expression levels in your experimental system as well as luminometer sensitivity. The kit is offered in a lyophilized format for convenient room temperature shipping and -20⁰C storage. The kit has reagents sufficient for 1000 assays in a 96-well format.
